1. MANHOLE COVERS
Manhole covers are removable plates which form the lid over the opening of a manhole. They prevent anyone or anything from falling into any manholes or sewage openings, and keep unauthorized persons out. OSDEON manhole covers have varying load tolerance, depending on the application.
A15 (Max Load=1.5 Tonnes): Areas which can only be used by pedestrians and pedal cycles.
B125 (Max Load=12.5 Tonnes): Footways, pedestrian areas and comparable areas, car parks or car parking decks.
C250 (Max Load=25 Tonnes): For gully tops installed in the area of kerbside channels of roads which when measured from the kerb edge, extend to a maximum of 0.5m into the carriageway and a maximum of 0.2m into the footway.
D400 (Max Load=40 Tonnes): Carriageways of roads (including pedestrian streets), hard shoulders and parking areas for all types of roads or vehicles.
2. RAIN GRATINGS (Max Load Tolerance=1.5Tonnes(A15)
- Engineered for specific loads for only pedestrian walkways to ensure the drain doesn’t collapse under pressure.
- Primary function is to capture runoff rapidly and direct it into the sewage or storm system to prevent flooding.
- Osdeon rain gratings come in modular sections that are lighter than concrete or cast-iron covers, allowing for quick assembly along a trench.
